Bhubaneswar: Police arrested a bike lifter at Shakti Vihar here on Sunday and seized three stolen motorcycles from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Sumant Digal (25), a resident of Kandhamal district.
Based on a complaint lodged by one Chandrakanta Parida on April 11, the police began investigation. With the help of CCTV footage, raids were conducted and Digal arrested. The motorcycles were seized from his house at Salia Sahi in the Odisha capital.
The accused was forwarded to court the same day.
Efforts are on to nab the associates of Digal, police sources said.
