Sonepur: Police on Friday arrested a bike looter and recovered 10
motorcycles from his possession at Arjunapur in Odisha’s Sonepur district.
The accused was identified as Dayasagar Chhatria.
According to police sources, a police team intercepted Chhatria and his
associate, who were travelling on a stolen bike on National Highway-57
after noticing their suspicious behaviour.
Following interrogation, police came to know that he had stolen
the motorcycle from Belapada area in Balangir district. Dayasagar’s
associate, however, escaped from the spot.
Later, police managed to recover nine more motorcycles from a
house in Arjunapur basing on the information provided to them by
Dayasagar.
