Nuapada: A person on motorcycle was critically injured after being attacked by a wild elephant at Chindapani village in Nuapada district on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Brudha Hans, was admitted to Nuapada hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the incident took place while some locals and forest personnel were trying to drive away a herd of seven elephants from Chhattisgarh, which had strayed into the forests near Chindapani village in the district. One of the elephants suddenly appeared before Hans and attacked him with its trunk.
