Koraput: A day after a biker was killed in a road accident in Odisha’s Koraput district, locals staged protest and blocked the National Highway No. 326 near Boipariguda on Thursday demanding compensation to the family of the deceased.
The protesters staged a blockade by keeping the body of the deceased on the NH between Boipariguda in Koraput and Vijaywada demanding payment of adequate compensation to the family of the youth who was killed after a car hit his bike on Wednesday evening.
Notably, the bike rider was killed after a car dashed against his two-wheeler near Tanginiguda in Boipariguda area of the district on Ranchi-Vijaywada National Highway.
The deceased youth has been identified as Goutam Majhi of Amalabhata village under Boipariguda Block.
