Bhubaneswar: A man was killed and another critically injuried when an Ama Bus hit the motorcycle they were riding near Panda Sahi in Bhingarpur panchayat on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Ashok Bala, while injured Naresh Swain (30) is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
As per sources, the two were proceeding to Govindapur when an ‘Ama Bus’ hit their bike near Panda Sahi in Balianta area. Ashok suffered severe head injuries and reportedly died on the spot, while Naresh was thrown off the bike and is currently in critical condition.
On being informed about the mishap, a police team visited the site and launched an investigaton into the incident. Locals have demanded action against the bus driver, alleging reckless driving.
