Balasore: Acting tough against reckless driving, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Odisha’s Balasore seized two motorcycles which were allegedly used for recording reels.
As per sources, challans of Rs 11,000 each were also issued by the RTO, Balasore against the owners of the two-wheelers. The two youth reportedly used the motorcycles to record reels while driving in a careless and reckless manner on the roads of Balasore.
The incidents came to light when the reels got circulated on social media platforms. Taking tough view of the incidents, the RTO issued the challans to the vehicle owners for driving without wearing helmets in a dangerous manner.
Sources said one of the youth is a resident of Balasore, while another belongs to Nilagiri town in the district.
Stating that the authorities are regularly registering cases against careless driving without helmet and issuing challans, an official said that RTO staff visited the houses of the youth and seized the motorcycles, besides issuing challans for flouting rules.
