Bindusagar Lights Up With Tales Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Bindusagar lake was a sight to behold on Sunday evening, assimilating the history of the greater Kalinga within it amid the chantings of matras dedicated to the presiding deity of the 11th century Lingaraj Temple.

It was the trial run of musical fountain and multimedia laser, another tourism value-addition to the Old Town of Odisha capital after the heritage walks.

The Rs 9-crore-project tells the story of Odisha through attractive lights, music and colours

The Tourism Department is making all arrangements for smooth conduct of the show every evening

Plans are afoot present the show in Odia, English and Hindi languages.

A committee has been set up to decide the time duration and select artists for voice-over. It is being headed by noted film director Sabyasachi Mohapatra

The show is being conducted by ‘Premier World’.

Along with the multimedia laser show, the Old Town will soon have a market complex and a lodge for the tourists.

Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Tourism Director Archana Patnaik and former Tourism Director Nitin Bhanudas Jawale had attended the trial run.
