Bengaluru: Biocon executive chairperson Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has tested positive for COVID-19.
Shaw informed this in a tweet on Monday night.
Biocon was recently in the news for making the controversial drug Itolizumab.
In July, Shaw claimed that Itolizumab had been approved in India and since the country was in a medical emergency, it was decided to go ahead with a clinical trial involving a cohort of 30 patients.’
She had further said the regulatory process was extremely robust and the scientific discussions on the trial were of a very high order.
