Bhubaneswar: Six meritorious students, pursuing professional degree courses, received the prestigious Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education (PGDS) 2021 at the award ceremony organized by Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) and Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA).
The selected students will receive 90% of the academic fee and eligible expenses for their 4-year degree courses.
Paramita Panda (Trustee of Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation) handed over the scholarships in the presence of CR Ray (Whole Time Director IMFA), TC Hota ( Sr Advisor BIPF ), Bijayananda Mohapatra (COO IMFA), Ashok Kumar Behera (Vice-President BIPF) and other senior dignitaries of the organization.
“Every year, PGDS scholarship is awarded to six meritorious students’ to facilitate higher education in the field of Engineering, Medicine and Liberal arts across India. including IITs, NITs AIIMS, SCB, MKCG, AFMC and other premier government institutes. The past recipients of PGDS have excelled in their studies and are now well placed in their respective profession and some have chosen to pursue post-graduation and research course. This not only helps students to pursue their dream for higher education but enables them to have a progressive future and contribute to family & society,” said Paramita.
