Biplab Samantray Helps Cuttack A Lift Kalahandi Cup

Cuttack: Cuttack A lifted the Kalahandi Cup beating ECORSA at Ravenshaw University ground on Wednesday.

Cuttack A won the toss in the two-day final of the Odisha Cricket Association-organized meet and chose to field first.

Despite a fine knock of 94 by Ankit Yadav, ECORSA were bowled out for 174 in 58.1 overs. Subham Nayak was the pick of the Cuttack A bowlers, bagging three wickets for 48 runs in 17.1 overs.

Odisha’s star batsman Biplab Samantray led the Cuttack A reply with a match-winning unbeaten 109 off 132 balls.

Cuttack A finished with 256 for 6 in 70 overs when stumps were drawn.

BCCI panel umpire Durga Dutta Das officiated the final, along with Priti Ranjan Bijaysingh.
