Berhampur: The Berhampur Forest Division launched a bird census at 6 am on Sunday, according to Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) Ashok Kumar Behera.
The ACF informed that a total of 38 teams are carrying out the annual one-day census in the four ranges of Berhampur-10, Khalikote-9, Digapahandi-13 and Samantapalli-6.
Each unit comprises three to five persons and boats are being used for large water bodies, he added.
