Jajpur: While the fear of Coronavirus still looms large, the endemic Bird Flu re-emerged in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Monday.
As per media reports, mysterious death of poultry has become an everyday affair in Jajpur’s Ambikai village. Helpless farmers are unable to identify the reason behind the deaths. This has given rise to possibilities of Bird Flu resurfacing in the state.
Deputy Director of Veterinary Hospital reached Ambikai on being informed about the situation.
Last month, after the confirmation of Bird Flu in a poultry farm at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), a three-member central team had assessed the situation in the state and taken appropriate measures for containing the spread of the virus.
