Bhubaneswar: High Education Minister Arun Sahoo on Wednesday said those, who have taken admission in BJB College, here, by producing fake documents will be punished as per the provisions of law.
Speaking to media persons, here on Wednesday, Saho said he was reviewing the matter and would take necessary action soon. “If anybody would be found guilty as per the charge, stern action would be taken against him,” he added.
Stating that irregularities in admission to educational institutions cannot be tolerated, the minister said wherever such cases would come to light, the government would take steps as per the law.
On Tuesday, the authorities of BJB College, a prestigious college in the state, had filed an FIR against 8 students who had taken admission in the college by submitting fake physically challenged certificates. Of the eight persons, four are from Cuttack district and the rest from Bhadrak district.
Earlier, a similar case of students’ admission by producing fake certificates was detected in Bhadrak.
