Bhubaneswar: With Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw on Odisha visit, a Twitter war has erupted between BJD and BJP in Odisha.
The Union Minister visited Puri to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath after arriving in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
On Friday, BJD leader and High Education Minister Arun Sahoo posted a cryptic message on his official Twitter handle, which said: “People of Odisha know the difference between seeking blessings without service and getting blessed after continuous service.”
To which, Odisha BJP spokesperson and general secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar responding by tweeting, “People understand the difference between service and misuse of power”. She also posted a picture of the Union Ministers, prostrating before the Lords, and compared it with that of Sahoo’s.
Earlier in the day, BJD MLA Pranab Prakash Das took a swipe at Dharmendra for requesting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for implementing Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha.
He said: “Ayushman Bharat beneficiary limit is 60 lakh while Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana covers 96 lakh families.”
In a series of tweets, Pranab said that there are no benefits for women under the central scheme. There is a provision of Rs 10 lakh per annum for women members of the family enrolled under BKKY. He also compared the hospital coverage of the two schemes.
“Ayushman Bharat is an insurance while BSKY is an assurance for complete healthcare,” he added.
