Bhubaneswar: The BJD has submitted a memorandum to the chief electoral officer in Bhubaneswar complaining that no action had been taken against several hoardings put up the BJP flouting the model code of conduct.
The party said it had complained earlier too and attached a copy of the receipt. The memorandum said several hoardings, including surrogate advertising hoardings of the BJP-led Centre, and those of PSUs, are still on display. “Even in places related to Airport Authority, illegal hoardings are being erected when central leaders are arriving in Bhubaneswar,” the memorandum said. “We hope that strong and immediate action is taken in this regard.” The memorandum was signed by three BJD spokespersons.
