Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar MP of BJP Aparajita Sarangi on Friday put the state government in the dock for ‘making a fool of the youths of the state’.
After the Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Tushar Kanti Behera informed the Assembly that the Biju Yuva Vahini (BYV) is no more functioning in any part of the state, Aparajita took to the Twitter to say that making huge budget provisions for BYV and forgetting them after elections is the style of BJD.
“Is not it fooling our youth?,” she asked.
She also said while the Centre is bearing Rs 32 per kg, the state government is contributing Rs 5 in Rs 1 per kg rice scheme.
Earlier in the day, the state minister said in the Assembly that since no allocation has been made for the BYV in the budget for financial year 2020-21, it is not engaged in any kind of public service in the state.
