Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD has decided to launch a statewide stir against the repeated hike in petrol and diesel prices from September 18.
Addressing a media conference here on Friday, BJD general secretary Sanjay Das Burma said the party members accompanied by senior leaders will stage demonstrations and protest meetings at all district headquarters as the frequent hike in fuel prices had largely affected the general public.
“There has been an outrage among people over the rising prices of petroleum products. So, we urge the Centre to rollback its decision with immediate effect”, he added.
