Bhubaneswar: BJD on Thursday said it has moved the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha with new videos of BJP Khurda MLA candidate Prashant Jagdev allegedly threatening poll officials on duty.
In the memorandum submitted along with evidence in the form of videos, senior BJD leaders alleged that Jagdev disrupted the voting process in booth 114 at Kaunripatna in Bolagad blocks of Begunia Assembly constituency.
They alleged that the BJP candidate assaulted the presiding officer and threatened him.
They further complained that other BJP leaders of Khurda are also threatening government officials on poll duty and warning them of transfer and punitive action.
The party leaders also expressed dissatisfaction that despite CCTV footage of such threats available with the Election Commission, no action has been taken against the BJP leaders.
