Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced the names of the four candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls on March 26.
Naveen said his party will field Subash Singh, chairman of the Odisha Construction Workers Welfare Board, Munna Khan, adviser, Minority Affairs, Sujit Kumar, adviser of the State Development Council, and Mamata Mahanta of the BJD Mahila wing of Mayurbhanj district, for the polls.
The CM also said that he has accepted the resignation of Subash Singh and appointed Ramesh Chandra Chayu Patnaik in his place with a cabinet rank.
He made the announcement at a press briefing at Naveen Nivas here.
