Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD has decided to observe a five-hour haral (7am to 12 pm) at all district headquarters and blocks across the state to protest against fuel price hike.
“The party strongly condemns the Centre’s anti-people move to increase the prices of petrol and diesel. Protesting against such decision, the party members will observe the hartal by staging peaceful dharnas and protests across the state,” BJD spokesperson Sanjay Das Burma said.
Stating that emergency services will be exempted from the purview of the strike, he requested people to extend their support to make the hartal successful.
