Bhubaneswar: BJD chief and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday said his party is ready for an open and constructive discussion during the Assembly’s budget session, scheduled to begin on June 25.
The BJD’s legislature party meeting, headed by Naveen, was held at the state Assembly here to chalk out strategies for the ruling party to face the Opposition in the upcoming session.
“We are open for a discussion on all matters regarding Odisha during the Assembly session,” Naveen told reporters after the meeting. “We look forward to cooperation from the central government, and, of course, we will follow p on all promises made in our manifesto to the people.”
The budget session of the 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence from June 25 and be held in two phases.
The first phase of Assembly session will be conducted from June 25 to July 3 and the second phase from July 12 to August 8.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the Budget for 2019-20 on June 28. The appropriation bill for 2020 will be passed in the House on July 31.
