Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday refuted the allegations of the BJP on the COVID-19 test in Odisha.
Reacting to the statement of BJP state general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan on violation of Central guidlines during the test of COVID-19, BJD spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra said that the COVID-19 tests for the symptomatic persons are being done in Odisha in accordance with the Central government guidelines.
It would have been better had the BJP leader thoroughly understood the Central guidelines, Patro said.
Replying to another allegation by the BJP leader that the government is not providing Rs 2000 to the people after completion of their quarantine period, Patra said the people discharged from the quarantine centres have been provided the amount.
“In this fight against Corona, we have to set aside political differences. The state government has taken all possible measures to contain the spread of the virus and we must work together to protect Odisha”, Patra said.
