Berhampur: The BJP Yuva Morcha protestors, seeking justice for lady teacher Mamita Meher, engaged in a scuffle with police while staging a protest outside the SP office here.
According to reports, activists took out a rally and gheraoed SP office where they staged a protest. While staging protest, some agitators broke the barricade and hurled eggs and tomatoes at the police. They were stopped from entering the police station by the cops.
They reiterated the demand for immediate dismissal of Minister of State for Home Dibyshankar Mishra in connection with Mamita’s murder.
Meanwhile, police personnel picked up the protesters to avoid any untoward incidents.
