Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday appointed senior leader Vijaypal Singh Tomar as the in-charge for Odisha while Lata Usendi was made co-incharge for the state.
BJP national president J P Nadda announced the names of in-charge and co-Incharge for different states, including Odidha.
Tomar and Usendi had earlier been served as BJP’s election in-charge and co incharge respectively for Odisha. After the BJP posted a landslide victory in the Lok Sabha polls and got a clear majority in the Assembly, both the leaders have now been given important party responsibilities in the state.
This apart, two MPs from Odisha – Aparajita Sarangi (Bhubaneswar) and Sambit Patra (Puri), have been given the responsibility of looking after party affairs in two states.
Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi has been appointed the co-incharge for Kerala while Prakash Javadekar has been made the in-charge for the southern state.
Similarly, Sambit Patra has been appointed coordinator, while former Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan will be joint coordinator of North East states.
The party has announced the appointment of state in-charges and co-in-charges for several States.
