Bhubaneswar: The BJP in its third list on Monday announced two candidates for the Lok Sabha and nine for the Assembly elections.
As decided by the party, former director-general of police (DGP) Prakash Mishra and former Utkal Bharat president Kharavela Swain will contest the Cuttack and Kandhamal Lok Sabha seats respectively. While Swain joined the BJP on Monday and Mishra the day before.
The nine candidates for Assembly elections are as follows:
1. Dinesh Jain-Jharsuguda
2. Debendra Mohapatra-Redhakhol
3. Badri Narayan Dhal-Bhandaripokhari
4. Dr Pradip Naik-Bhadrak
5. Deba Narayan Pradhan-Phulbani
6. Sampad Swain-Paradip
7. Narendra Nayak-Jayadev
8. Biswaranjan Badajena-Jatni
9. Rishav Nanda- Begunia
With this, BJP has so far announced the name of candidates for 17 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats and 130 out of 147 Assembly seats in the state.
