New Delhi: There is no love lost between political rivals Rahul Gandhi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Yet, the Congress leader considers the BJP to be his ‘guru’.
In a sarcastic attack on the saffron party, the Congress MP said that his Bharat Jodo Yatra is getting full support not only from the people of the country but also from the opposition.
“I want them (BJP) to attack us aggressively, this will help Congress party understand its ideology. I consider them (BJP) as my guru, they are showing me the way and training me on what is not to be done,” Rahul told mediapersons on Saturday.
He is confident that the opposition is united on Bharat Jodo Yatra, though Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav said recently Congress party hadn’t officially invited him to participate in the yatra which will enter Uttar Pradesh on January 3.
“The doors of Bharat Jodo Yatra are open for everyone, we are not going to stop anyone from joining us. Akhilesh ji, Mayawati ji and others want ‘mohabbat ka Hindustan’ and there is some relation of ideology among us,” Rahul said.
