Bhubaneswar: BJP national president J P Nadda, and chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh and Assam are scheduled to Odisha this week as a part of the party’s poll blitzkrieg ahead of the third-round elections in the state.
“BJP national president JP Nadda will address public meetings at four places – Karanjia, Dhamnagar, Barchana and Balikuda – on May 23. On the same day, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address two public meetings at Chilika and Kulia. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will also address rallies in Deogarh, Barbil, Choudwar and Baramba on Wednesday,” state BJP vice president Golak Mohapatra told a presser on Tuesday.
He further said senior BJP leader Arun Govil, who is best known for playingd Lord Ram in the Ramayana TV series, will attend a series of public meetings in Champua, Telkoi, Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal on May 22.
Union Minister Amit Shah is currently on a visit to Odisha, his third in a week, and holding four back-to-back roll rallies in Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh, where voting will be held on May 25.
