Bhubaneswar: The BJP will embark on a membership drive from September 1, aiming at one crore in Odisha alone.
The saffron party has planned a state-level workshop at BJP headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday ahead of the membership drive, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal said.
“The MPs, MLAs, office bearers and district presidents will attend the workshop on Tuesday. We have also planned workshops at district, mandal and block levels,” said Samal.
After PM Modi registers as a member on September 1, BJP’s membership drive will be launched in Odisha, Samal added.
Following the state-level workshop, a training session will be held on August 22, 23 and 24 at the district level. Similarly, workshops will be held at mandal levels on August 25, 26 and 27, and at the block level by August 31, party sources informed.
The BJP will induct new members in 4 ways — with missed calls, QR code, using NaMo App and through official website of the party.
The party will offer membership to people in a traditional manner with registration form in remote areas, said Samal.
