BJP MLA In MP Courts Controversy After Thrashing Civic Official

Indore: After Patnagarh MLA in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA, Akash Vijayvargiya, son of party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya allegedly thrashed a municipal official in Indore with a cricket bat in the presence of public on Wednesday.

Reportedly, mediapersons present there recorded the entire incident but that did not deter the MLA.

The Municipal Corporation official was carrying out an anti-encroachment drive in the area when the incident occurred. They had an argument, following which, the BJP MLA allegedly started beating the official with a cricket bat.

In a video, which has gone viral, Vijayvargiya is seen threatening the official saying, “You should leave within five minutes or else whatever happens after that will be your responsibility.”

Vijayvargiya said that workers were demolishing a building illegally on the orders of the official.

Earlier this month, Patnagarh MLA Saroj Meher was arrested after he allegedly forced Public Works Department engineer Jaykant Sabar to do sit-ups over public complaints of poor roads.
