Bhubaneswar: While uncouth activities such as sleeping, slapping, watching porn are not new for the legislative assemblies in India, BJP MLA Bishnu Charan Sethi added to the list by singing in the Odisha Assembly here on Tuesday.
During the Zero Hour, the Dhamnagar MLA and deputy leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly sang an Odia song in the House, seeking a government quarters in the Odisha capital which the legislators are entitled for.
The legislature shared his distress through the song, stating that he had been waiting since seven months to get an official residence.
At present, he is living in a 10×12 room and finding it difficult to accommodate his family in the city. Moreover, people from his constituency are also not able to visit him.
The BJP leader also requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to ensure that the legislatures are allocated their official residence.
