Sonepur: A dawn-to-dusk shutdown called by BJP Yuva Morcha affected normal life in Sonepur district on Wednesday. They were protesting against the deteriorating healthcare services in their locality.
Almost all commercial establishments and markets downed their shutters while buses and other vehicles stayed off the road during the bandh.
The agitators picketed and blocked important road junctions by burning tyres, demanding immediate posting of adequate number of doctors and other medical staff at different hospitals and health centres in the district.
