Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Amit Shah’s two-day Odisha visit and four months after taking charge of the BJP in the state, Manmohan Samal announced his team, comprising 35 office-bearers, on Friday.
Aparajita Sarangi, Golak Prasad Mohapatra, Nauri Nayak, Kusum Tete, Lalitendu Bidyadhara Mohapatra, Rabi Nayak, Lekhashree Samantsinghar, among others, have been named vice-presidents. Similarly, Avilash Panda has been appointed president of BJP Yuva Morcha and Aishwarya Biswal of Mahila Morcha.

The BJP changed its state leadership and appointed senior leader and former minister Samal as the party’s Odisha unit president in March this year for playing a key role in ensuring the party’s victory in the high-octane Dhamnagar byelection. Known for his organisational leadership, he had served as party president twice earlier in 1998 and 2000.
