Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national president J P Nadda arrived in Bhubaneswar on a two-day visit to Odisha to attend a number of programmes to bolster the party’s prospects in the twin elections in the state.
Sources said Nadda arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the evening. He was accorded a rousing welcome by senior party leaders at the airport.
Soon after arrival, the BJP chief attended a Mahila Samavesh (women convention) on Subhadra Yojana in the state capital.
The BJP president highlighted the significance of women empowerment in nation building. He listed the promises made by the saffron party in its election manifesto for the empowerment of women which will go a long way in making the country prosperous.
On the second day of his visit to the state, Nadda will hold a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. morning He will also address two public meetings in Padmapur and Sundargarh on Thursday afternoon.
