Bhubaneswar: National president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J P Nadda arrived in Bhubaneswar on Sunday to release the party’s manifesto for Odisha Assembly elections.
Soon after arrival at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Nadda proceeded to launch the ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto).
The BJP president was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival by senior party leaders, including Odisha election in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar and Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha candidate Aparajita Sarangi.
Nadda is slated to launch BJP’s manifesto, ‘Modi’s Guarantee For Odisha’, for the Assembly Elections in the state at a hotel in the capital city.
This is the BJP chief’s second visit to Odisha in last eight days. He had addressed an election meeting in Berhampur on April 28.
It may be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night on a two-day visit to Odisha. He is slated to attend election rallies in Berhampur and Nabarangpur on Monday.
