New Delhi: The Twitter account of BJP national president JP Nadda was reportedly hacked on Sunday.
After renaming the account, the hacker separately tweeted seeking donations in cryptocurrency for both Ukraine and Russia.
A tweet, saying stand with people of Ukraine and seeking donations in cryptocurrency was posted from his account at 9.52 am, even as Russia continued shelling in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
Another tweet, “Stand with the people of Russia. Now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin and Ethereum”, was posted at 10.02 am.
These, however, disappeared some five minutes later.
“BJP national president’s account was compromised briefly. It is now under control. We are speaking with Twitter to ascertain the exact reason,” a BJP source told NDTV.
