Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said it would continue to raise its voice till the motive of the murder of minister Naba Kishore Das and the people behind it come to light.
Speaking to media persons in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jyanarayan Mishra said his party would continue to hold protest against the state government till the truth is revealed.
“We wanted to get response from the government through motions in the Assembly. But the ruling BJD suppressed our voice by its strength of majority. It the government tries to push the issue under the carpet, we will take to the streets to raise our demand,” he said.
Stating that the BJP has already held protests on the issue at district-level, Mishra said the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will launch its agitation on February 28.
On the chief minister’s reply in the House, the LoP said he (CM) did not come clean on the matter. “He only critcised the BJP in his statement while skirting the questions raised by the BJP on the issue. We will not remain silent till the real culprits and the motive of the murder is revealed. If we are silenced in the Assembly, we will take it to the people through agitation,” the BJP leader said.
