BJP To Bring Odisha-Born CM & Oust ‘Outsourced’ Govt, ‘Outsider’: J P Nadda

Karanjia/Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on the BJD government over its style of functioning, BJP president J P Nadda on Thursday accused it of exploiting the poor and tribal people and forcing lakhs of them to move out of Odisha in search of work.

Though Odisha is endowed with rich natural and mineral resources, tribal people are not getting two square meals a day as the BJD government has failed to provide them with work, Nadda said addressing an election rally of BJP in Karanjia.

“The BJD government has brought miseries for the poor and tribal people in the state. Many of them are forced to migrate to other parts of the country for work,” the BJP national president said.

Claiming that people of Odisha have decided to give rest to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and throw out the ‘outsider’, the heavyweight leader said people of the state have made up their mind to give an opportunity to BJP to serve them for speedy progress.

Seeking to know as to who is running the government in Odisha, Nadda wondered whether the state has no one born here who is capable of governing.

Alleging that the state government has been outsourced as the elected MLAs and MPS have turned voiceless, the BJP chief asserted that the saffron party will bring a Chief Minister who is born in Odisha to serve the people.

Claiming that one person prevents the MLAs and MPS from meeting the Chief Minister, Nadda said all project works have been awarded to contractors from outside the state.

Even the Laxmi bus scheme is being run by an outsider, he said, adding that school uniforms and cycles for students are being provided by outsiders, ignoring people of the state.

Mounting a stinging attack on Naveen Patnaik, the BJP president said the plight of farmers have been compounded during the BJD rule as cold storages and sugar factories have been shut down and irrigation system is in a pathetic state.

The BJP stalwart also lashed out at the BJD government over the missing keys of Ratna Bhandar of Puri Jagannath Temple and sought to know who has stolen it. The mystery over missing keys will be unraveled once BJD forms government in Odisha, he said.

Enthusiasm among the people of Odisha shows that they have made up their mind to give all 21 Lok Sabha in the state seats to BJP, Nadda said, adding that they also want to put an end to BJD’s misrule by voting the saffron party to power in the state.
