Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Monday reiterated its decision to go alone in the forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, most likely to be held in May this year.
“There is no question of any alliance with the BJD. We will contest the elections alone, unseat the Naveen Patnaik government from power and throw it in the Bay of Bengal,” BJP leader Jual Oram told mediapersons here.
Stating that the state BJP had completed about 99 per cent task entrusted to it by the national president Amit Shah to accomplish the 120 plus mission, he said considering the growing popularity of his party in Odisha, several sitting and former MLAs of the BJD and other parties have expressed their willingness to join the BJP.
