BJP To Stage Demo In All Blocks Of Odisha From Oct 27

Bhubaneswar: The state BJP has decided to stage demonstration in all the blocks of Odisha from October 27 in protest against the rampant corruption during the 19-year rule of the BJD government.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, state BJP vice-president Bhrugu Buxipatra said his party will stage demonstration in a democratic manner in all 314 blocks on October 27, 29 and 30.
“BJP will hit the street on the issues of mega scams in chit fund, mining, dal, sapling plantation and auction of Balighat. Apart from this, the party will unmask the fraudulent activities of the BJD government in providing agriculture loan to the farmers and not providing them the minimum support price (MSP) during paddy procurement and massive financial irregularities in the input subsidy,” he added.
Coming down heavily on the state government for its Ama Gaon Ama Bikash scheme, Buxipatra said the government has implemented the scheme for welfare of its brokers and contractors with work order being allotted to the party workers by ignoring the decision of the gram sabha, palli sabha, the sarpanch and the samiti members.
Apart from this, the money earmarked for the untendered works is going to the pockets of the local BJD leaders and workers in the rural areas, he further alleged.
On Biju Yuva Vahini formed by the BJD government, Buxipatra said that the youths selected as members of the new outfit are being paid monthly remuneration from the state exchequer.
