New Delhi: The BJP is on top of the list of political advertisers from India on Google. The Congress stands at 6th position.
According to a report by Google, the BJP has a share of nearly 32 per cent, while the Congress has just 0.14.
The BJP has spent ₹1.21 crore since February 19, while the Congress has spent just ₹54,100 in the same time.
The Jagan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party of Andhra Pradesh has spent ₹1.04 crore on Google ads. Chandra Babu Naidu’s Telugu Desham Party was ranked third with an advertisement expenditure of Rs 85.25 lakh.
A November 2018 report in the Economic Times had revealed that the BJP also has the highest number of TV ads, ahead of Netflix and Trivago.
