BJP Will Win Record Number Of Seats In Odisha: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reiterated that the poll outcome in Odisha will surprise the nation and the BJP will win a record number of seats here.

Ahead of his rallies in Sundargarh and Sonepur, the Prime Minister said on his Twitter handle in Odia that the voters will reject both the ruling BJD and the Opposition Congress in Odisha.

Early on March 31, during a “Main bhi Chowkidar” programme, Modi had said that the BJP will script a Tripura-like victory in Odisha and end the BJD’s 19-year rule. “Odisha will be a second Tripura for the BJP,” he had said.

Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik had outrightly dismissed his assertion.

“The formula adopted by the BJP for the Assembly elections in Tripura will not work here. You will see that the BJD will do exceedingly well in the upcoming elections,” the Chief Minister had told mediapersons.
