Bhubaneswar: Odisha Yuva Morcha on Saturday announced its decision to stage a state-wide protest on Sunday against the alleged deteriorating law and order situation.
“Demonstrations and protest meetings will be organised by the party members at district and block level across the state to protest the deteriorating law and order and rise in violence against women and children”, said Odisha president of BJP Yuva Morcha Tankar Tripathy.
“There are murders, rapes, dacoities and many other violent activities, but the BJD-led state government has failed to maintain law and order in the state. The people of Odisha should be aware about the incapable BJD government”, Tripathy added.
Meanwhile, a group of saffron party activists pasted a hanging note in front of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) office alleging failure on part of the state government in sorting out civic issues in different wards including ward no-12 and 52. They warned to stall the civic body’s functioning, if the problems faced by the residents are not resolved within the next seven days.
