Bhubaneswar: In a further boost to BJP’s move to pressurise the state government by organising statewide protest seeking justice for the family of murdered 5-year-old Pari in Nayagarh district, the party’s in-charge (Prabhari) of Odisha Daggubati Purandeswari will meet the minor girl’s parents on Thursday.
Earlier, the Odisha unit of the party said it will launch protest across the state from December 15 seeking justice for the cause. Besides taking out rallies in all 147 Assembly constituencies from December 15 to 20, the party will launch a mega padyatra from Bhubaneswar to Pari’s village Jadupur on December 21, it added.
According to party sources, Purandeswari is on a three-day visit to Odisha to discuss party’s organisational affairs. She arrived here on Wednesday. This is her maiden visit to Odisha after being appointed as its in-charge.
She is scheduled to meet the office-bearers, party MPs, MLAs and leaders from all Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies. The party meetings will continue from tomorrow to December 12.
