Bhubaneswar: The plus II answer sheet evaluation has been affected on Wednesday as the agitating block grant teachers staged picketing across 56 centres across Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, separate demonstrations were staged by the agitators in front of six zones under the banner of Odisha School and College Teachers and Employees’ United Forum demanding fulfilment of their six-point charter of demands. They requested other teachers, who had come for reporting at different centres, to refrain from the evaluation process.
“Despite assurances by the Chief Minister and Inter-Ministerial Committee, the government has failed to release a notification regarding withdrawal of the affidavit clause prescribed in the grant-in-aid policy-2017”, said an agitator who staged dharna in front of an evaluation centre at BJB Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar.
A group of teachers also staged a sit-in-protest in front of Sambalpur Government Women’s College and asked other teachers not to cooperate the government in the evaluation process.
Meanwhile, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) officials have stated that alternate arrangement to ensure the future of over three lakh students is not affected.
