Bhubaneswar: The authorities of the Capital Hospital on Saturday sealed the Blood Bank unit inside the hospital premises after a technician tested positive for COVID-19.
As informed by the hospital authorities, along with the technician, persons who have come in contact with him have been sent to home quarantine.
The blood bank, which will remain closed for sanitization, is likely to open from Sunday, they added.
Earlier in the day, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) had informed about 19 new positive cases which included nine health workers, being detected in the last 24 hours.
