Berhampur: A woman was found lying in a pool of blood at Gajapadar under Tarasingi police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district late on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Tribeni Nayak (50).
According to sources, Tribeni’s son Sanaa Nayak asked her for some money and later attacked her brutally upon her refusal.
The blood-soaked body of the deceased was found in her house by the locals. On being informed by neighbours, Tarasingi police arrived at the spot and recovered the body.
While the cops sent her body for postmortem, her son was detained on suspicion of murder.
The exact cause behind her alleged murder is yet to be ascertained.
