Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday apprehended Ratikanta Das, ASI of Khantapada police station in Odisha’s Balasore district and home guard Sashikanta Mohapatra while allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 from a person to release his vehicle.
While a case has been registered against duo under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 and simultaneous searches are on at three locations to ascertain disproportionate assets belonging to the ASI, a Vigilance release said.
