Bhubaneswar: The Nuagaon revenue village under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) jurisdiction was declared as a containment zone on Friday after the detection of 10 COVID-19 positive cases.
As informed by BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary, following areas of Nuagaon village near Samantarapur come under the containment zone:
— From Nuagaon Homeopathic Dispensary to the houses of Laxmidhar Sahu and Bhubanananda Jena
— From the houses of Laxmidhar Sahu and Bhubanananda Jena to the houses of Sudarshan Sahu and Shankar Sahu
— From the houses of Sudarshan Sahu and Shankar Sahu to Nuagaon Homeopathic Dispensary
The BMC commissioner said that nobody is allowed to go into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone will not move out. All the residents of the zone will strictly remain at home. Besides, all shopping establishments, government and private institutions within the boundary of the containment zone will remain closed.
Assuring that the BMC will ensure the supply of essentials/medicines to the containment zone, he said the residents can call the Helpline number 1929 for any requirements/complaints.
