Bhubaneswar: Former Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation mayor Ananta Narayan Jena was on Thursday appointed BJD state general secretary by party chief Naveen Patnaik.
Jena, who was recently appointed Bhubaneswar Development Authority chairman, was also given additional charge as observer of the party’s Bhubaneswar organisational district as well as Patna Assembly constituency in Keonjhar district.
The party chief has also revoked the suspension order on former chairperson of Paradip Notified Area Council, Gobinda Tarai, BJD state secretary Bijay Nayak said in a release here.
