COVID-19: BMC Imposes Restrictions On Use Of Parks In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: In accordance with the new guidelines issued by Odisha government in view of the surge in coronavirus cases, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on Monday issued a notification for COVID appropriate behaviour in parks and public places.

As per the notice, all the children playing and open gym equipment in public parks will not be used by anybody. The park authority has been directed to disable or cover all such equipment.

Those visiting parks will have to wear masks appropriately all the time they are present inside the facility.

The BMC order further stated that the users should also adhere to social distancing of 6 feet while walking or even sitting.

Moreover, chewing tobacco and spitting inside the park will invite penal action and collection of fine.
